APRIL MOVIE JOURNAL/REVIEWS/NEWS/LINKS
I was pleasantly surprised this month by how many films I saw. I assumed that I would only see about 10 to 15 films, but looking over my movie journal I noticed that I actually saw 23 films all together, most of which were good. Here they are... (they are out of 4*)

I recently went to the movie theater with a few friends to see the premier showing of Mission: Impossible- III. Contrary to what Ebert says, I really enjoyed the film. It is my favorite movie of 2006 and most likely my favorite film in the Mission: Impossible franchise. I thought that the direction by J.J. Abrams was excellent, especially since this is the first feature length film he has directed. You may (or may not) recognize his name from the direction of TV shows such as Lost and Alias. Also, actors Philip Seymour Hoffman and Tom Cruise did great jobs. Hoffman was the perfect villain for the film. I highly recommend this film, it is a non-stop action film with all sorts of twists incorporated.

On another note- I purchased the 10 year anniversary sets of both Clerks (3 discs) and Mallrats (1 double-sided disc). I also bought the Clerks Uncensored (2 discs) animated series. I really enjoy these films and I found the two films in a set together for only twenty dollars! Plus, Clerks Uncensored only cost about ten dollars. The films have a fist cut (Clerks) and an extended cut (Mallrats). All in all it was a great buy that didn't cost too much.

I strolled up to Future Shop on the 9th in hopes of purchasing the two-disc edition of one of my favorite movies of last year, Steven Spielberg's Munich. Unfortunately they hadn't got in the shipment yet so they put my on a list and are going to phone me up when it arrives.
